Getting Started with OnSurvey

Configuration

  1. Navigate to App Manager within your tenant by doing a search for ‘App Manager' and click ‘Configure' next to OnSurvey (“App Manager” security domain needs to be enabled)

  2. Configure Application Attributes - OnSurvey_API_URL (https://www.onsurvey.app) and OnSurvey_API_Key (Onward team will provide the key)

  3. Navigate down to Model Components > Security Domains, then click on Create for these policies. Give Modify permission to a user group to both policies, then Activate Pending Changes. For testing purposes, this should be a user group that the testers are part of.

  4. Follow instructions here to create integration system user

  5. Login to web app and create a new Workday connection, using the integration system user credentials from the previous step. See instructions.

Survey Creation

  1. Login to the web app (Onward will provide credentials) and then create a simple template to start with

  2. Go to OnSurvey app in Workday (link is available in App Manager) and create a new Survey.

    1. Select template created previously

    2. Select “Form Access” as the Recipient Selection Method (see here for more info on other selection options)

    3. Select Survey Responses (Default) as the security domain

    4. Click on Save, copy the URL on the dialog that pops up

  3. Submit survey by accessing the URL from previous step

  4. Go back to OnSurvey home page in Workday and click on View Responses
